Self-initiated project at Supergood

Nowadays, every second of basketball is recorded, streamed, clipped, and meme'd, but there's still one moment no one's ever seen. Wilt Chamberlain's iconic 100-point performance is arguably the biggest moment in basketball history that exists almost entirely in sports fans’ imagination. So we used Bill Campbell's original 1962 radio broadcast as our source to create the moment fans never got to witness. Recreating history for hoop heads everywhere.

Creative Process: We built the project around the only surviving audio from the game: Bill Campbell's radio call of the fourth quarter, capturing the exact moment Wilt scored his 100th bucket. We also pulled hundreds of archival photos from that era and dug into historians' accounts of the night to reconstruct it accurately. We rebuilt the arena, the players, the movement, and the weight of his size 22s on the hardwood. That period-accurate footage was then synchronized to the original broadcast, frame by frame, so the visuals follow the call in real time.
